Last Week of School!!!

Thank you all for an incredible year! I am going to miss this amazing group of students more than I can say. We have shared so many wonderful memories, lots of laughter, plenty of learning, and even a few bumps along the way that helped us grow together.

It has truly been a privilege to be part of your child's journey this year. Watching each of them learn, grow, and become more confident has been one of the greatest joys of teaching. I know they all have bright, exciting futures ahead of them, and I can't wait to see all they accomplish.

Thank you for trusting me with your incredible children and for your kindness and support throughout the year. I wish you all a safe, relaxing summer and all the very best in Grade 4!

 Thank you for joining us for our sharing assembly today.  The students worked hard and they did a great job. Inline Skating: Students are asked to  bring their own helmet (with a safety certification sticker attached e.g., CSA, CPSC, etc.) and remind all participants to wear socks. Due to health reasons, students without socks will not be permitted to participate. We recommend suggesting that students bring an extra pair of socks to help keep the equipment dry and for the participant’s personal comfort.    Acceptable helmets include: bicycle helmets, hockey helmets (no cage), skateboard helmets, ski/snowboard helmets.   The following helmets are not appropriate for inline skating : BMX helmets, baseball helmets, football helmets, equestrian helmets, motorcycle helmets, any helmet with no chin strap, any helmet that covers the face, any helmet missing its outer plastic shell.  Looking Back: Literacy: Writing:     Students worked on editing se...

  Home Reading Challenge We kicked off our week by launching our Home Reading Challenge in partnership with Laser City! Each student has brought home a reading sheet with 10 slots on each side. The goal is simple: read every day and record it on the sheet. On September 30 , please return the completed reading page. From those submitted, I will randomly select 5 students to win a free game of laser tag. This challenge will continue each month throughout the school year. If your child’s page is not selected for the laser tag prize, they will still get to choose a reward from my classroom prize bucket—so everyone who participates is a winner! The expectation is that students read for at least 20 minutes each day . What this looks like may vary for each child, and that’s okay. Thank you for supporting your child’s reading journey!
